I teach students at all levels – from beginner through to diploma. And from children aged 8 through to senior school pupils and adults. Some of my current students are adults who are fulfilling a life-long ambition to learn the clarinet.  They have been thrilled to make so much progress.

Young and old can play for enjoyment and take exams if they want to, using ABRSM or Trinity exam boards. I prepare students for the essential Grade 5 Theory examination for those wanting to take the higher instrumental grades.

I tailor lessons to the needs, tastes and requirements of individual pupils to help them enjoy playing their clarinet and make the most of their lessons and providing piano accompaniment for all students really helps to bring the music alive. I incorporate music theory into lessons too, which enhances the playing and enriches the learning.
